It really depends on the type of camping you will be doing. If you will be using only CG`s with electric hook ups, A Group 24 or 27 deep cycle battery will suffice. Some even use regular starting batteries for this, but I recommend the deep cycle. If you will be off grid or "boondocking" you may need 2 Deep cycles or 2 6 volt batteries in series to give you more staying time.

I have always used deep cycle batterys on my trailer regular auto batterys are not desigined to be drained and recharged like happens on trailers. Rv deep cycle batterys can be discharged and recharged over and over and will last quite a while I think I have to replace about every 5 years or so. Now some use 6 volt golf cart batterys put them in series to get 12 volts and have good luck with them but they are deep cycle also.

Any battery that has a CCA rating on it is not a true deep cycle battery no matter what they tell you.... and will have a very short life span... 2-3 years..

With just a single battery 3 or 4 days is asking a lot. I would not be surprised if it dies on the 3rd day.

Buy 2 Trojan T-105's (they are 6 volt batteries) wire them pos to neg to get 12 volts and they will last you far longer than anything else you could buy... just make sure that each month you check the fluid level in them and ADD DISTILLED water as necessary.

How long your battery(s) will last depends on what you will be drawing off them. For instance a furnace being run in fairly cold weather could just about kill a battery in one day. And you should not discharge batteries below 50% if possible, to do so may decrease battery life. You may consider a small generator to charge your battery(s) if you will be doing much boondocking, but it sounds like just these 3 or 4 days and then using hookups ?. Or you could be very amp savvy in your energy usage and get by for a few days with one good battery. I don`t know of any sites to recommend to buy batteries, but trolling motor/RV batteries are deep cycle, designed to be recharged, should be available locally, check a trusted auto parts store/marine/rv dealer and tell them what you will be using it for.
