110 power not working on brand new trailer

Hello! I just registered this morning, so this will be my first post. Glad to have found this place. We are not new to RV's, have owned a couple motor homes, and most recently a travel trailer.

We just purchased a 2017 Jayco Flight SLX 284BHSW, did a walk through with the dealer, all was well. We get it home, plug it in, but cannot get power with 110, and the GFCI is popped, won't reset. It had been plugged in when we did the walk through, we tried two extension cords, checked the breakers and fuses. We cannot figure out why no power? We are hoping to get ahold of someone this morning, but would love it if someone had some helpful insight on what the problem could be? TIA!

Not sure on your trailer, but usually more than just one GFCI. If there is no power you cannot reset gfci

Check the main breaker in the panel.

Check other outlets, like bathroom. If one trips they all do.

I would be suspicious of the ac supply you are using. If it worked at the dealer, it should work anywhere on a properly wired source.

Is this ac source a commonly used source. Do you have any skills to check it?

What are you pulled into at home. At the Dealer they were hooked up to either 30 AMP or 50 AMP whichever your TT is set up to receive. At home you are most likely on a 110 outlet with an adapter. Trying to run the same equipment on 110 outlet won't work and may pop all your breakers. You may be able to run lights and a few other small things but nothing major pulled into a 110 outlet with an adapter. Turn everything off before trying to reset breakers and GFCI's

So, feeling pretty silly, especially with our past RV experience. It was the cheap 110 outlet adapter it came with. They supplied us with a better quality one, and bam, it worked!! Thanks everyone for your replies!

Don't feel silly at all. Many of us have had similar situations, one time or another. It gives us all a reason to be here!
