12 volt plug

Does the 28 BHBE have a 12 volt plug near the TV ? I saw pictures of the entertainment center on the 287 (SLX version) and it has one. That's the only item I would need an inverter for if I could get a 12 volt TV that would be great!

Most rigs that have a wineguard over the air antenna will have a 12v outlet on the panel where the antenna amp is turned on.

Yes, the 28BHBE as a 12V plug near the TV, and yes, it's for the antenna booster. It's in the little flip-down cabinet to the right of the stereo (assuming it's still designed the same as our '14 model).

Note that the standard 12V cig plug type outlet is not wired to carry very may amps so don't expect [or try] to plug in a 600W inverter and get full output with this kind of outlet. 2 problems here., 1] 12V DC power is significantly reduced by too thin wiring and by distance from the battery. 2] The OEM outlet is more or less designed to handle the same kinds of devices you might plug into your car or TV so you should be able to power a small 12V tv and or charge your mobil device. You may not be able to power up a full sized 110V tv and sat receiver using an inverter.

Thanks for the replies I am only looking to power a 32 inch LED TV nothing more. With that said do u guys think the 12 volt tv (Jensen 32 inch ) with ciggerette lighter adapter? or a small 180 watt pure sine inverter and a 110 television? my concerns with the inverter is that i would be using more power then necessary and also the fan noise. Thoughts?

My Insigna TV from Best Buy is a 12v tv. I had to get the 12v plug from Radio shack to make it work, but it does and it's pretty cool.

You will have better efficiency if you buy a 12v tv. Energy will be lost in the form of heat (and running the cooling fan) to invert 12v to 120v then the tv converts it back to DC.

Look around at different TV's, my Visio 23" also has a 12v output from the wall wart. I picked up a cigarette lighter adapter from Radio Shack, works great.
