'14 White Hawk 28dsbh
My wife and I went to a dealer today with the intent of purchasing a '13 28dsbh. The dealer had the color we liked in stock, and we had already gotten a very acceptable quote from them. When we arrived, our salesman stated that he could show it to us, but that he had sold the unit that morning. We were a little torqued, as we had driven an hour and a half. He told us that there was an identical unit he could get, but that it was a different color scheme. We looked at a trailer online with those patterns and knew right away that was not for us. He mentioned ordering a '14 as an option, as the factory had already regeared their lines to manufacture the new models. He also told us that we would have a price increase for the '14 models. We were kind of peeved and were expecting a significant increase, but the price increase was $400 for the exact same unit. I am SO glad that the '13 was already sold, as we would have bought it. There are very significant changes in the '14 lineup that we were not aware of. The ceilings are 4" higher with arched interior roof rafters, the hide-a-bed is no longer an air mattress, they added crown molding, the power awning has built in LED lighting on the edge, the J-steel sofa has been redesigned, slam latch doors on exterior storage compartments, and many other changes including a standard 32" TV vs the 26". We can't wait to see the new trailer, as we expect a completely different feel from the '13 models we have been in.

Are they putting a longer awning on the 2014 Whitehawks now? We decided against getting a 2013 Whitehawk because the awning was too small for us and Jayco would not put a longer one on.

I have the sheet that was faxed to the dealer, from the factory, while we were there yesterday, that lists all the changes to the line-up. There is nothing about awning changes.

When do you expect your delivery? Wanting to buy the same model but might hold off for the 2014's when they come in. Sounds like some neat features!

We were quoted 6 - 8 weeks on April 11th. I contacted the dealer today, and after he supposedly spoke with his Jayco rep, he said we were still supposedly on track for a mid June delivery. If I was in the market right now, and I was willing to wait a couple months, I'd wait for the '14. Being 6' 3" tall, the extra 4' ceiling height is a big enough difference for me.

Seems like a lot of the changes also apply to 2014 Jay Flights. I ordered my through RV Direct, should be ready for pickup in early June (hopefully) I'm curious about the awning changes too since the LED light is a common modification.

Anyone want to trade a 2014 for a 2012 28DSBH whitehawk ???? just kidding... we love our trailer and still have a year of warranty left. It'll be worth the wait. Post some pics when you get it.
Cheers

Woohoo!! I was advised that my 28DSBH will be delivered early next week! As we ordered late enough the trailer will actually be a 2014.
Home stretch!

Not yet. It arrived from IN later than expected. Delivery scheduled for Tuesday. This wait was brutal but I was told when ordering that the avg wait was 8 weeks, and we're right about there.
As soon I get home with it I'll post pictures of the LED Awning.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing so many issues with your White Hawk Pjsteve99. Hope you find a resolution soon - one way or another...

Peter,
Congrats on the new White Hawk. How did the Ecoboost perform?
