184BH Furnace

The furnace in my Jay Flight SLX 184BH works great, but how? Is it propane or electric or both? There's no pilot light to light, but it could always light the propane with electronic ignition. And there is no switch to switch between electric and propane. It could automatically go electric with hookups and propane without hookups. What is it?

Its propane fired, there are no electric heater elements. The blower and electronic ignition are 12VDC. We keep a small electric space heater with us to use when we come across a site with hookups. Saves on the propane and I find it to be much quieter than the furnace.

2X on the space heater. Ours is 1500W, has 2 settings and a digital thermostat. We use the furnace rarely.

Yup furnace works real good. Like mentioned above, if you are hooked up to electric site use floor heaters to save propane!

Greed with the electric heater. For about the same price as a tank of propane, you can get a heater with a thermostat at Walmart that will keep your camper quite warm.
