1996 Jayco 2820fk designer series

Hi Im new to this. I recently purchased my first travel trailer a 1996 Jayco 2820fk designer series. Does anyone know any information about this trailer. Its in pretty decent shape. Im gonna be living in an rv park in this rig and winter will begin to be here shortly (couple months) is this trailer a good rig to manage in. Anyone know how well this model is insulated and any problems with it. Also is there an online catalog where I can find minor parts for this thing. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi and welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum! You will definitely have lotsa questions regarding your "new to me" Jayco being a "newbie". After touring the Jayco facility, I learned you can find out any questions you have and order any needed parts for years-old products that Jayco makes. Just need to give them a call. 800 283 8267 Enjoy your new home

Welcome to the forum ... and congrats on your purchase. The experience of living full-time in an RV should be interesting to follow. Do you plan on travelling with this unit or will it stay put in the park?

Well for the most part it will stay in the park. I do definately intent on taking it to the lake and setting up and things like that but I wont be traveling the U.S. in it at least not at this time. The funniest part about this is the reason Im gonna be living in if full time. I purchased it showed it to my wife thinking ( hey look honey something we can enjoy together) but instead got greeted by (pack your sh*t and have fun with that thing). So im goin thru my first divorce in this thing as well.

Holy Cow Sorry to hear that. Glad to hear that you will be able to spend some time with it at the lake... you get to make new memories then right?
