2-part toilet question

Anyone know what kind of toilet we had in our old TT (2015 SLX 165RB)? It had a hand flush, and looked a lot like a Thetford Aqua Magic V. I didn't check before we traded it in.

DW would like me to put a higher toilet in our new Jay Feather 23RLSW, and she would like it to be a hand flush as well, rather than the foot flush that came already installed in the new TT. Any suggestions, or issues I should know about? I'm looking at the Aqua Magic V High Profile Hand Flush. Some of the reviews point out that in replacing a pedal flush with a hand flush, and especially high profile, the fresh water supply hose may need to be extended.

The toilet that came with the 23RLSW had never been used. I guess that will make the project at least somewhat easier.

Thanks,

Roger

When replacing your supply line it's a good idea to install a shutoff valve while your back there.

M rig already had a shutoff valve back there so I marked that off the list of things to do.

Do me a favor look when you replace the toilet and see if the existing toilet could be turned so the shower door clears it.

Thanks

OK, but...
  1. It'll be a while before I get near that project.
  2. Also suspect that at least one of the mounting studs would have to be reolcated (probably both), which I am not going to do.
So if you can wait until April or so, I'll let you know how I make out.

Not a problem I can wait it is just on my would be nice to fix list. I wonder if the flange has multiple locations for the hold down bolts? That would make it rather easy to do what I want.

I took a quick look yesterday, just to scan the situation. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that even turning the toilet would not give enough extra clearance to allow the shower door to clear the toilet. That's a rough estimate, not an absolute answer based on exact measurements.
