20 MRB storage question

After researching everything about this model on this site there's a common theme of lack of storage.

Since I'm picking up my trailer in a week, what specific kind of storage issues are there? Upgrading from a popup it seems like there's plenty of storage but maybe I've overlooked something. Tools and equipment? clothes and personal belongings? kitchen? and what have you done to overcome to overcome the limitations?

We're gone for 2-3 months at a time and it's a real challenge. I bought a car top carrier from REI and it's a big help but their not cheap, I feel I had no choice.

I only wish to be gone 2-3 months at a time. We're mostly weekend warriors with a couple week long trips thrown in each year. Maybe I'm over thinking the limited storage and it won't be too bad.

We only take enough clothes for 8 days. 2 pr. of jeans 8 shirts 8pr. socks-shorts, 2 pr. Shoes+shower shoes/sandles 4 towels 1 jacket 1 rain jacket. We have a Hybrid and use sleeping bags.The pots & pans all stack together 2 cups 4 plates 1 strainer & 2 mixing bowels.
If we have guests we buy paper plates and cups and they keep their stuff in their car.

We were looking at the 20MRB but the closet space wasn't enough for us - because we do Highland Games, and tartan gear can be bulky. If not for that, the storage would have been fine.

Our issues with the 20MRB was storage and counter top space. If you do most of your kitchen activity cooking,eating etc. outside not so bad. We also had to use a carrier. The unit is great for a week to ten day trip but extended stay it gets tight. We loved the murphy bed setup. Make sure you check the roof carefully. Look close at the front cap and how it is attached and installed to the unit. Our unit had bad axels but I think that has been resolved with the newer units.

We took delivery of our 20MRB on 3/31. As we haven't been in a hurry to get her out yet, we have taken our time to get the essentials into it.

The previous TT had one large outside compartment that I could get three larges storage totes in plus a smaller one. The 20MRB has three outside compartments but none big enough to get any of the totes in. I need to measure for smaller totes, discard what I really do not need or, as the DW suggested, put the stuff in the bed of the TV. I really like keeping trailer necessities with the trailer.

Not sure about inside storage yet. Still stocking it a bit at a time.
