2007 Jayco Jay Flight 29bhs

I hooked up a battery and now the refrigerator and ac/furnace is not working. The lights are working off of battery only, I checked the fuses and the gfi's and all are good. What could be wrong?

So, I am new to the forum not to rving. And I am guessing your reffering to the actual battery and not the tow connector. I am just wondering why you would remove the battery, because when I am hooked up to shore power it charges my battery. Sorry to reply to a question with a question, Also I would remove the battery cables again to see if that effects anything. Also did you turn your breakers off in the RV off when you hooked up the battery. If you are comfortable, you could break out the multimeter and start checking connections. That way you can determine if its the converter or the appliance.

Electricity not working

I just purchased the rv 3 weeks ago, 2007 Jayco Jay Flight 29fbs, it's very nice, the previous owner ran it off of electricity the past two years because they did not use it, the battery was dead when i got it, everything worked since I have owned it, I put a battery in yesterday, it sparked a little when i hooked it up and now the electricity does not work. is there another breaker on the camper?

If those things are not working now, even when plugged in I would check breakers. Not sure where that would be on your model. On mine it's below the fridge. I'm not sure a little spark from hooking up a battery would knock all that out but I guess it's possible.

You need to check the 12v fuses, they are just like the ones in your vehicle. You probably blew a fuse. They should be located on the front of the converter right next to the breakers.
