2009 Jayflight G2 32 BHDS - one time tow with 2013 Tundra

Just purchased a Jayflight G2 32 BHDS and now need to tow it to our seasonal campground. The trailer will only have to be towed this one time (RT290, RT495 then 95N MASS to ME) and will be completely empty. The total trip is ~110 miles all highway.

My truck is a 2013 Tundra 4.6 V8 with the tow package. I do own a brake controller and trying to local a weight distribution hitch.

From what I read, most upgrade to a larger truck for towing, however just looking to tow the trailer this one time.

That's way too much trailer for that truck, even for a short trip. Why not find a contractor to pull it for you?

Local dealer quoted $800... IMO that's nuts for ~100 miles.

I tow a 2009 32BHDS with a 2500HD Chevy Duramax Diesel. Recommend you look at your Trucks Owners Manual for max towing capacity. If is 8 to 9k tow capability, with a WDH and Sway Bar and Brake Controller at 55 to 60 mph in fair weather you should be OK. Might want to run it by your vehicle insurance company. I agree, $800 is a rip for a 100 mile one way trip.

Rent a truck and tow it yourself..Before getting the truck I have now , whenever I wanted to go camping I called Enterprise truck rental division, and rented a 3/4 ton truck

Anyone at your campground willing to make some money? Maybe $200 or so, + fuel??? Maybe you could talk to the cg office about who may live near you so it wouldn't be way out of someone's way.

truck drivers will pick up side cash all day moving these at half price ask around. the dealer I purchased from offered 400 and I told them they were on crack since you can get it delivered from factory to your driveway

Since the campground we are at is all seasonal, not many folks with larger trucks or with the hookup to tow. Still trying to locate a weight distribution hitch for either short $$ or borrow from someone.

Was able to locate an enterprise truck rental for $95 a day. Will have to call to see if they rent WD hitches.

Ended up hiring a local RV dealer to tow the trailer for $600.
