2011 26BH Questions.....?

I have a a couple of questions regarding a friends 2011 Jayco 26BH.

1. His stabilizers on the front are mounted to a piece of 2-3" C channel then mounted to the bottom of the trailer frame....However, the rear ones are just mounted to the bottom of the frame. Seems strange to me that they would do that because they come mighty close to dragging and probably would if you weren't paying attention. Just curious if anybody else's is like that.

2. I have a 2008 Jayco 19BH and my whole underbody is covered with Darko...You can't see anything under my trailer except things exiting the Darko. His on the other hand is not covered at all. You can see all the tanks and everything. Is the lined underbody an option?

3. He has a 2005 F150 CC Lariat. It came with a factory 7 Pin connector, and everything works except the running lights...Any thoughts? I think he is missing a relay or something, but maybe somebody here can chime in.

Thanks!!

1. My 2011 26BH had stabilizers mounted like that on the rear. I had to replace one on the right rear since I cut a corner and drug it over a curb. Paid better attention after that.

2. Mine had the underbelly. I think it is part of the thermal package option.

I have a 2011 26BH and the covering underneath is part of the thermal package option. The one you are speaking of must not have that option. As to the stabilizers, you just have to pay attention so you don't hit anything. I will have to look the next time and see exactly how the stabilizers are mounted, I can't seem to remember.

I do not have the thermal package as we do not need it down here. Mine looks lined except for the tanks, lines (electric, water). I seem to have plenty of clearance for front and back stabilizers.

I would check the owners manual. It should tell you what all the relays are for and you can check to see what you have and do not have.

I have a 2010 26bh. I tore up one of the back stabilizers backing down my steep
driveway. I took it off and use a small 5 ton hydralic jack to stabilize that corner of
the trailer. I would also use this jack to change a tire if necessary.

I know some of the Fords (like mine) needed a relay to power the Aux power on the 7 pin plug (battery charging) but the marker lights should always work. It might be a bad fuse or connection.

Also, I have a 2011 26BH and the front and rear jacks are mounted directly to the main frame i-beams using self-tapping screws.

Ditto on both accounts

Thats just weird...Some have them, some don't and some have them on the back and not the front....Gotta wonder what they were thinking.

I could be wrong but I believe the jacks a placed on by the dealer and typically a part of a "package". So might vary based on dealer.

Yes, as far as I know the stabilizers are indeed part of a dealer installed package...at least, that was the case with mine. It was about an extra $1K to get the four stabilizers, a/c and something else that escapes my mind at the moment.
