Good afternoon Sk734. I own a 2015 27' RLS and I recall not being able to use the door with the slide in, due to the way the door opened. This might be an issue with the couch cushion though so I will swing by the storage lot on my way home from work to confirm. I should re-post later this evening.

Wow that`s a bummer to not be able to access the bathroom in a 2 door unit. I wonder if they addressed that issue in the newly configured 28RLS.

On edit, it appears they did

We had a 2011 Jay Flight 26RLS. You can not access the the whole unit with the slide in. It was a pain to open the kitchen door turn on the water pump switch, go to the bedroom door open it and enter the bathroom from the bedroom hallway. Then go back outside and enter the kitchen door to turn off the pump switch. We ended up installing a water pump switch in the bathroom cabinet to take care of that situation.

We ended up trading it in after 3 yrs for a unit we can access all the way through and 3 ft longer. It makes packing and road trip stops much easier.

We can't access our bathroom with the slide in on our 29QBH either. We were really concerned at first, but then we figured you just open the slide a 1' and you are good to go. Takes about 10 seconds to open a foot and always have had at least a foot when we needed to open it.

The other issue with the slide is you are NOT suppoased to walk, step, sit, etc on it when it's not fully extended. The way that slide works, in order to be flush to the floor when open the slide floor ends up being elevated 1-2" when retracted and can't support weight that way. Therefore we have lost the ability to stop in route and have lunch together in the TT unless you are somewhere where we can deploy the slide. We have gotten used to that, but we do miss our 26BH for in route convenience but not for in CG comfort.

Also confirmed on the 27RLS. I was unaware you couldn't sit in the slide while it is not fully extended. I was under the impression you could use the unit with the slide in if you chose to be cramped.

On our 16 27RLS, you can access the bathroom from the bedroom, with the slide in. Looks like the 26RLS is set up a little different, though. You can't access the bathroom on ours from the living area, without running the slide out about 4-6 inches.

I didn't read that correctly. On the 15 27RLS you can access the bathroom from the bedroom with the slide in. You cannot access the bathroom from the kitchen area with the slide in.

We Have a 2013 26RLS. You can access bedroom and bathroom from bedroom door with slide in. You can access kitchen, fridge, dinette, etc from back door with slide in. Only issue is the water pump must be turned on from the back door. I used to leave the pump on but last year I started keeping a jug of h20 in bathroom sink for light flush.

We love our 26 RLS.
