2012 Skylark FKV "Jensen" TV system issues.

I have read the "Jensen" ANHD20 owner booklet but see no explanation for the 2 cables with yellow, white,& red RCA connectors that are located under the kitchen counter. I picked up my FKV Skylark yesterday & after quick walk thru headed back to Houston 300+ miles. I should have hung around near RV dealer a couple days longer. Anyway, if any of you FKV Skylarkers have the answer I would appreciate the info.

Typically red white and yellow are for a TV audio connection to something.
Red is right audio. White is left audio. Yellow is video.
Is a double ended cable with fittings at either end or is it a pig tail with fitting on one end?
I think it may be used to connect your TV to the "home" sound system or the video system, like a satellite receiver.

Big Jim is correct. Those cables are for connecting your TV. This allows the sound to come through the trailer speakers. It also allows you to show movies (using the Jenson DVD player).

Yep. One set is an input from the jensen dvd player to the tv. The other is an input from a device to the Jensen unit.

Ok, is the input from a device to the Jensen kinda for a surround sound effect and can the jnput be from a DTV receiver, etc? Also, how does one determine which wire set is which, is it just a trial & error test?
I also have a duel cable connector box right beside the Jensen air/cable box and the two connectors in it have a very short cable wire connecting them from one to the other-loop like. Any ideas? BTW, aren't these great trailers!

In mine, I tried plugging in a portable dvd player to the Jensen. It put the audio to the speakers in the trailer. Now I will say that the dealer informed me that they had to replace the unit from the factory as it didn't pass their receipt inspection.

As far as the loop thingy for the antenna booster, I forgot what its for. I know it is in the manual for the antenna. I can look tomorrow.

What I've learned.............
The loop does this: when top (A) is connected to bottom (B) via the loop you have outside cable connection. When (A) is disconnected and outside is connected to a dish you connect satellite receiver to (A) connection. This info was not in my Jensen booklet.
Now about the two unmarked RCA AV cables: What would be the safest method to determine which one is sending av to Jensen and which one is receiving av from Jensen without doing any damage?
BTW: I really appreciate the help from you & everyone else.

I hooked those cables up to the TV and now get an echo... as there is a slight delay between the TV and the sound system speakers

When I am using the Jenson audio thru the roof speakers, I turn the volume all the way down on the TV. We find it a much better quality of sound.

I finally crawled into the cabinet with a flashlight and discovered that one RCA yellow video cable has a Sharpie like line mark on it while the other is just plain yellow. Any idea which is in and which is out?

Mine is line-less. But then again dealer did some work on it. You wont mess anything up. RCA cables are used to getting sealed during hook up, lol.

We just picked up our new Skylark this afternoon. This is our first TT, so I am trying to figure the same thing out. Television works fine, have it connected to the RV park's cable, but not getting sound out of the speakers either. I need to sit down and read the Jenson book when I haven't been indulging in some brewskie's...tomorrow. If I learn anything, I'll let you know.

3 things:

Try the other set of cables
Make sure you have the Jensen in aux mode (or is it something else...hmm)
Make sure you have the right speaker button on. One is in, one is out, the other not used

Jayco had reversed the AV cables behind the wall plate on my Skylark, just one more thing to look at.

Duh! Problem finally solved. What I finally did was simply insert a DVD disk into the Jensen, press aux button and when it started playing, I took my little cheapy ($2.50) multi-tester from Harbor freight, set it on low a/c current and tested both of the yellow RCA plugs for live current. It turned out the plain yellow plug was the a/v input to TV from DVD player so that left the other one for connecting to Sat. or cable box a/v output to play through TT's speakers for surround effect.
Thanks again for all the help and input on this problem.

PS: The black line on the yellow video RCA plug was to indicate "not needed' as Jensen has no video screen. I think XXXXXs would have been a whole lot better sign.

yellow connection

The yellow connection brings the video portion of a dvd that has been inserted into the Jensen player to the TV. You can listen to the sound through your trailer speakers, or hook up the white and red and listen to them via your tv. I usually use only the yellow connection. Wife sits at table, and I sit on sofa. Speakers are right above our heads. I do make sure that I turn off the outside speakers.
So far have not had much luck with the TV antenna, but have been camping in rather remote areas.

I have lost speaker output to speaker B (one roof speaker) & outside speakers (C). Worked fine until I hooked up a larger TV to the system. After disconnecting the TV, the stereo speakers only work with one (speaker A) roof speaker. Any ideas?

We STILL have not gotten our speakers to work with the TV. The stealership has jacked us around for 2 months now. They finally called Jayco and are supposed to be getting a cable in next week.

Sorry I can't help you with your speaker issue. I can't even seem to solve my own...lol Let me know if you get it figured out...
