I am in the process of buying a 2013 Eagle 314BDS and had a question on the shower glass door as a standard option listed on Jayco's website. All of the units I have seen on the web for a 2013 314BDS has a tub and curtain not a glass shower door as advertised. Am I missing something here? For those of you that have a 2012 314BDS unit can you also please chime in as I thought I saw a 2012 314BDS on clearance that had the shower door. Is this an option that needs to be picked?
The one I am buying has not come in yet so I can't check that one.
Ordering ours in two weeks. The one we saw at the RV show last month did not have the glass shower door, it was a tub shower with curtain. But did see on the web site what you are referring to. What are you guys going to be towing it with??
I have a 2012 and there was not an option for the door. I have the tub and curtain.
I do not know specifically what pictures you are talking about (I looked at the site) but I think those are generic pictures from other models mixed in there too. The way the batroom is in the 314 will not support a shower I dont think.
Based on the floor plan on Jayco's website and what I have seen over the Internet the tub is the only option in the 314BDS. The "glass shower door" Jayco mentions is a typo on the spec sheet. This is too bad, I was hoping for a shower not a tub and think there is the room in the bathroom for a shower with door.
My tow rig is a 2008 Toyota Tundra Crewmax 4x4 Limited and Supercharged
I have a Tundra as well 5.7 4x4 with tow package. All the "experts" tell me I need a diesel...of course most of these guys will say that about anything bigger than about 20'. I'm going to probably just give it a shot and she how she pulls.
Welcome to the forum CakeHenn.... our Tundies TV has a 10k lbs plus tow rating and depending on the TT you have or are getting I think it is more than enough truck to pull it. I know I will be close if not over the tow rating GVWR with my new 2013 314BDS when fully loaded.
Thanks jjhu00...I'm getting the exact same trailer. I've got 31k miles on my Tundra tires...the originals...I'll probably buy new ones sooner or later that are E range load rated. Also thinking about getting air bags to beef up the rear suspension. I'll see what it looks like after I get the WDH all set up.
CakeHenn, do you or have you towed your camper with OE tires? How does it tow? I always thought when towing heavy loads E or XL tires were required to support the extra weight as the OE tires are P rated.
