Angry 2014 Jayco White Hawk 24 RKS

This camper was bought brand new from Camping World. It's our first camper. 3 years later and I think we have water damage. The front of the camper has faded horribly. We purchased the coating that goes on the outside to protect the color and the decals. I have serious doubts they even did it.

Traveling for a weekend trip this weekend, the door kept flying open. Even with the deadbolt locked. We couldn't figure it out. When we reached our destination, the top window at the table was shattered and falling. We immediately returned home.

Upon returning home and securing the broken window, we noticed the front of the camper and the fiberglass has large bubbles under it. Then we noticed the roof is pulling away from the driver's side wall.

We are devastated. We have National General Insurance (which we purchased through Camping World). Called in a claim and waiting on an adjuster, but the lady told us it doesn't cover water damage.

We bought the 60 month service agreement, which doesn't cover it.

We also bought GAP insurance which is no good for this issue.

I am 1 month from retirement. I feel as if I'm in a nightmare. Has this happened to anyone? What did you do? Any suggestions as to recourse?

Thanks

Call Jayco ... also note to other for insurance purpose always ask if water damage and roof repair is included. Mine covers damage caused by accidents like a branch falling but not perferation caused by wear or defect...I got the hunt. But it does cover water damage

If the roof is pulling away from the side wall, I would suspect you ran into a tree branch at some point. This caused a tear and water to leak in. Look carefully at where the roof is peeling to see if you can tell if it was damaged. Insurance will cover damage from a branch etc. If it simply was neglect on maintenance on your part from not checking and resealing the caulk, you are pretty much out of luck.

Hope you can find signs of physical damage for an insurance claim.
