2015 24FBS has arrived

So today we picked up our 2015 24FBS. It took me about 2-1/2 hrs to perform the delivery inspection. I did pay close attention to the slideout regarding the screw heads from the information provided from another member here on his week old 28BHBE and another 24 FBS. All was ok. HOWEVER! there was an issue with the slide out anyway. When the slide is retracted in, the top left corner facing the slide will not fully retract tight against the wall...(1/2"-3/4"). the rubber is contacting the wall but not as tight as the top right side. The service manager says the top of the slide seals by gravity and it may "settle in". I told him the think about repairing it because i'm not going to let this go especially with the potential of water intrusion. he says the slideout may need to be replaced. Really? How about maybe an adjustment? The only other issue was the factory did not put on the aluminum rims I ordered. No big deal. We are using it next weekend. They are getting them this week. Some minor issues that I was expecting were wires not tidy and just hanging loose. Again no problem, nothing a few wire ties can't handle. Overall, everything went well and everything was in good working order. I'm a picky person so i'll take care of the minor issues my way.

Looks like a great TT, and a nice upgrade from the "197" with just a little more elbow room

Wow, going from "settle in" to "slide may need to be replaced" is a pretty big leap I know that it's difficult to maintain the exact same slide seal compression dimension all the way around when closed, but normally a slide adjustment will insure that the seal adequately keeps moisture out.

Woo hoo, finally got 'er in. Congrats and hope you get to use her this season. Michigan is a little further north than New Mexico and I hear it gets cold sooner. Hmmm.
Have a great time in your new rig and hope you enjoy your 24FBS as much as we enjoy ours.
Happy RVing.
Jeff
