2016 Jay Feather 26bhsw

we're looking at purchasing this trailer and I wanted to see if anyone had an opinion... It seems to fit our family well but I don't see too many of them out there..

Also looking at a 28bhbe...

Any input would be appreciated..

I'm 6'6" tall so this is playing a factor in the models since I cannot stand or sleep in some....

Thanks!

Unless they radically redesigned from 2015, that has a short queen bed. Its a walk around bed, so you can hand your feet over the end and not hit a wall.

Same with the 28BHBE, unless its redesigned from 2015, short queen bed.

The Jayflight has more standard goodies and felt more substantial to me. The JayFeather seemed more delicate to me. For the minimal price difference, the JayFlight was the way to go when we bought earlier this year.

I'm 5'10" and I have a 2015 267bhsw. If the bed is the same, I can't imagine a situation where you could sleep comfortably, unless you can sleep with your legs seriously bent. I'm maxed out myself.

I can hang my legs off the bed in the 2016.. Something that I've been dealing with all my life.. I can't really stand up in the new 2015 that's on the lot because the roof is shorter.

Seems like the bed will be an issue in all the Jayco models..

Thanks for the feedback!

We had a short queen. I am tall as well so we got a queen "bunkie" board and switched to a regular queen. The bunkie board supports the end. There is still room to squeeze by at the foot of the bed.

Considering the 267bhsw has access to both sides of the bed I would just buy a regular queen and add a support for the overhanging end. You don't need to be able to walk around the end.

That's a different model/layout but it's still a good idea.

Thanks!

Yea, the picture is very misleading. It appears as though there are several inches of room between the bed and wall... there are NOT. The bed will come right up to that wall.

We ended up with the 29QBS because it has a FULL QUEEN and its walk around.

I just bought a 2015 jay feather 26bhsw and absolutely love it. However, I am 6' even. Being as tall as you are, I would opt for a model with larger queen or walk-through on both sides so you could potentially add a larger mattress and still access the room. Also, the additional ceiling height in jay flight models (along with wider & taller door) would be much more accomodative for you as well. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

We recently picked up a 2016 26bh Jayflight and our family fit great! 3 daughters and 2 adults and not tripping over eachother even when changing for the pool. the bed is a queen short but me being just under 6 foot and a side sleeper was not an issue. the storage is HUGE we went for a week and could use only the front under bed for everything.

Looking at a new 2015 fiberglass 28bhs tomorrow.. We'll see if this fits our family better.. Seems to be less as they've quoted me $19K and the 2016 26bhsw was $24K a different dealer..

Just curious if anyone can weigh back in on this model of a Jayfeather 26BHSW. My wife loves the L shaped kitchen and counter space. I am partial to a campside dinette and the 2016 models have the small outdoor kitchen with a fridge. This has everything we want and is still under 5000 lbs. My only worry is how well they will hold up after towing. I have heard some horror stories about these ultralites.
