2017 Whitehawk 24mbh questions.

We just picked up our new tt today and have a couple questions. Should I install a battery disconnect switch.?
How should we keep the batteries charged while at home ? Just plug the tt into a shop outlet once a month , get a little solar panel ( tt is pre wired ).
Sorry if these a beginner questions , its our first tt and I have no idea.
Thanks Allen

Thanks Homer guess I will pick up a disconnect this week.
Another question our trailer has the 13.5 Ac unit. Will the Champion 3100 inverter genny be enough to run the Ac unit ?

I keep my battery on a battery tender at all times. I might do a disconnect later but it keeps me from worrying about it.

Mine have always been plugged in 100% of the time while home and most of the time camping. We rarely get non-electric sites. Never a problem.

If nothing goes wrong with the converter charger or the batt itself its fine, however a friend of mine got lucky one day while he was away oh the damsite a neighbour saw a bunch of smoke coming out of the batt box, the charger was overcharging the battery, so the battery boiled and basically melt, he caught it just before catching fire i would say. So for me i check the voltage and when the batt is charged i use the disconnect and i unplug the tt if i dont need 120 volts
