26BH Wobbly Table

I noticed that the table sits on 2 posts that press into the table top and floor. There is excessive wobble and this will cause spilled drinks for sure. Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

Last TT had that setup and we did not have that wobbly issue. Have you looked at the screws that secure the base to the floor and to the table to confirm they are tight?

I questioned someone about ours and they said to slap down hard on the table to "seat" the table top/legs into their holders. Husband did that and it's much better than it was but still a little wobbly.

Yes, the wobble comes from the post wobbling. Tried pushing down to seat more firmly, but to no avail.

Try wrapping some tape around the end of the pole to take up the slop. Electrical tape or vinyl tape comes off easy.

I have to tighten the screws in at the base bracket periodically or mine wabbles too. Even when tight, the table isn't as solid as I would like, but its managable.

I'd be careful about "slapping" the tabletop down to seat the legs. One of the plastic leg caps came off and is permanently stuck in the floor mount. I didn't slap the table down, but I have set some heavy items on it at times.

Thanks

Thanks to all who have replied. I have emailed this problem to the dealer. Will see what happens. I will also try the tape solution.

before we bought our trailer, we had them remove the post from the table top ,and replace with a fold down type of legs, that way we could use the table outside, and not have to deal with the forever wobbly style

I wonder if replacing the plastic bases (on floor and bottom of table) with the old metal ones if that would be more stable. I know they still sell those as they were in the parts department of our dealer. Has anyone tried that?

Our 264BHW which is very similar to yours is somewhat the same way, table wise. It's as firm as it can be, but not as firm as we would like. We've instructed the kids not to lean on it getting into and out of the booth. So far, it's only been minor inconvenience, and basic bumps haven't caused spills.

I'm not a fan of these double post tables either. There has to be a better solution.

When my '15 28 BHBE arrived home I went over it with a fine tooth comb and niticed the flimsy plastic cup was cracked on the floor from the factory torquing it down so much it penetrated the slide and could be seen protruding. I called the dealer and complained and after 3 scheduled appointments and me hauling it up there, they replaced them with the aluminum cups which were about $7.50 each. Well the replace all 4 and that has made a significant difference.

That Snap 2 folding table is what we have in our 23B and IMHO its crap. It's not stable and could be about 2" lower to the ground. Consider doing some more research before spending $70. JMO.

Popsicle Sticks!

Try tapping a couple of Popsicle sticks between the posts and cups at top & bottom. You may have to whittle the flat side into a wedge to get them in, but they may help keep the table from rocking.

we will probably replace this with a table with folding legs
