287 BHSW Battery

My new to me 2015 trailer battery is not charging when plugged into my 30 amp service, why?

Would I have no boo docking capacity. It came with an Interstate RV deep cycle battery.

Hi,
Start with this...
Do you have interior lights when you disconnect shore power?
If not, check the MAIN 30 amp fuse that is near the batteries.

Perhaps there's a battery disconnect switch that needs to be turned?

Its not charging because it has been plugged in at my house to a 30 amp supply and at a campground several weeks ago and when I unplugged, I had no lights inside or out and the battery indicator read empty. I put a volmeter on the battery and I had 11.7 volts....so I disconnected the battery and put a charger on it.

I will check the fuse tonite. I have not found a switch. I bought it used, so warranty was not transferable.

Sounds like it could be a bad battery. If the previous owners abuse the battery and regularly ran it down to dead it could be done for.

When you are plugged in, use a multi meter and touch the battery terminals while it's charging. You should see at least 13.5V if not 14.5 depending on which converter you have. If it's still showing less than 12V then you can assume the converter is not charging the battery.

If I am not mistaken, the factory warranty applies only to the original purchaser. I do not believe it is transferable.
