29QBH- Greasing Rear Slide Rail
Every fall I grease the front and rear slide rail teeth on the slide out.
Long story short I had a major issue about a month ago where the whole slide mechanism bound up and I barely got it slid back into the wall. Took it to the dealer, and he soaked it, and I mean soaked both slide rails with Teflon slide lube. (Only charged me $35 to take care of it) Seems to be working better, but not perfect. He was able to gain access to the inside track on the front side through the motor access panel.
The rear slide sits right between the rear axles, and since there is no rear slide motor, I cant get to the inside track on the rear without taking out the entire underside panel.
Should I cut a 12" x 12" x 12" flap in the underbelly panel to get access? Anybody have any similar experiences with the slide?
I was shocked at the amount of lube that he used on the slide rails. I always thought I was using enough each fall, but apparently not.
Thanks for the help!
