29rkes

Hi everyone, we took delivery of a new trailer and I have 2 questions.
The Whitehawk brochure mentions rear camera prep. There is nothing about it the owners manual. Can anyone help me with any information on this?
The door hits the awning when it is closed and open. The door does have a friction hinge which helps but I think this a poor design. I am going to have to come up with something to prevent this.
Thanks for any replies and ideas.
Jack

Congratulation on the new rig. Our first TT was the 29REKS and we loved her. Only traded her because we wanted a little more space.

Our Eagle manual doesn't mention anything about the camera either, but we did have a brochure/flyer about it in the mountain of paperwork we got so you might have something there. As I recall, there are two options for mounting - either remove the middle marker light or drill a hole below the marker light and tie into the wires there (I believe it's an orange wire). If it was me, I'd replace the marker instead of drilling another hole in the rig.

As far as the door goes, what is hitting? When we had our 29REKS the door only opened 90' to prevent it from hitting the awning frame. I don't recall it hitting the awning fabric when the awning was extended, but I have heard of folks adding a roller of some type to the door and that, instead of the sharp corner of the door, contacts the awning.

If it's like a Jayflight, the "camera prep" just means there is wire at the rear marker light that is ready to hook into a camera. Email service@jayco.com and they will send you a document on installing it. Sorry, I don't have it any more.

Thanks for the replies. When the awning is closed the door swings all the way open and hits the awning vertical support. When the awning is open it hits the support that goes up at an angle. There is a door stop but the door hits the awning first. The stop is too short.
I will email them about the camera
Thanks
Jack
