2nd AC install need picture

On my 338rets I have found the pre wiring (120 volt and thermostat wires). I have the roof layout and have marked the hole location for the AC unit ( there is no roof vent to go by). If someone has the second AC unit factory installed could you post a picture of the bedroom ceiling showing the return air grill installed if there is one. I'm not sure how it incorporates into the existing ductwork if it does. Thanks

Return air does not connect into the duct work. There are several different ceiling assemblies available.(which you buy separate from the air-conditioner). I recommend the "Chill grill" assembly which is similar to this, but not necessarily exact:

Deluxe Chill Grill Ducted Assy - Coleman

It allows you to open the vents and put air directly into the area if you need a quick cool down. This is the system that usually comes on the 2nd unit from the factory.

I've installed several units and it is pretty straight forward if your a good DIY type.

Mine is like the main a/c and it opens on 3 sides (rear and both sides). It is hooked to the main vents in the unit so that if either is on it blows out all the vents throughout the unit.

Like this one....
