314BHDS Speakers and television

Just brought home our 2015 314BHDS and in my opinion for buying the premium line of a Jayco travel trailer these have got to be the worst speakers I have ever heard. Very strange to me why the technology side would be skimped on.

Otherwise wow a very nice camper in deed.

Anyone replace their factory speakers? I pulled one out will be going to Best Buy today for replacements.

How about a larger TV I measured and looks like a 40 or maybe 42 would fit but can the little release cable still be reached?

Thanks, were getting closer to better weather here in Nebraska...

ceiling speakers

I bought some kicker 6.5 inch speakers. Install was simple the grill may need a little work for a perfect fit but pretty good.

Does anyone know what the exterior speaker is that I posted a picture of?

I'm looking to change mine out as well. I would be interested to see what people recommend.

I just finished tonight with a pair of kicker 6.5 inch model 40cs654. They sound way better than stock. Best buy had them on sale for 55 did bedroom and living room. I think you can pick your price point and be good to go.

I see this is old thread but how did you get the speakers out of the ceiling? Is that one unit or is there a cover over the speakers?

There are white covers over the existing speakers, pretty hard to get them off. I used a little screw driver and also a paint can opener.
Once the covers are off unscrew them and replace.
Also sounds weird but I fired up the stove and heated a couple covers up just a bit and they slid back on a little easier.

I would sure like to, I do not know what style or size or whatever they are. If you find something that fits and looks good let me know. Thank you!

The outside speakers are pretty poor on any i have heard really. I would think you could get a couple of marine speakers to fit over the originals that would sound a lot better and be able to live through the elements. i fancy doing it too.
