33 RLDS Do you own one, have you had problems?

We are considering purchasing a 2014 33 RLDS, our last trailer (a P.O.S. R-Vision 23ft Trail Cruiser) went through a hard freeze and had a major flood (toilet valve breakage). Insurance is going to scrap it and now we are going to lose our short term home (death in the family left us homeless). We have put a deposit on a 2014 33 RLDS at a Camping World in Oregon and are going to take a look at it in the coming week. If anyone here owns one of these coaches and could offer any advice on problems to look for before purchase or recommendations for or against obtaining this model/brand, it would be greatly appreciated. We only have one chance at this and don't want to make a huge mistake in buying something that will bankrupt us with problems in the long term.

Sorry for the long winded post but these questions weigh heavy on our mind's and we are not sure where else to turn for answers.

Thanks,

We have a 2011 33RLDS and have had it for 3 years. Have over 6000 miles on it. As with everything we have had a few problems and had almost all of them fixed under warrenty. Wife and I love how open it is, more than enough room for the wife dog and me. The one thing we don't really like is the shades, when they start going bad we are going to replace them. They are cheep and a pain. Other than that as long as you take care of it it will take care of you. There are small differances between the one you want and the one that we have. I would say look it over real good and just sit in it without the sales person and look at where this will go and that will go, lay on the bed, where dishes will go, clothes will go and so forth. Wife and I are going to keep ours for a long, long time. Hope this helps

Our trailer is similar to that and we had problems with the slides. Just make sure they go out all the way and seal properly. Then make sure they come in all the way. It is a large trailer, be sure to get the 50 amp with two air conditioners.

Jayco is having problems with their shades. Our 2011 has the day/night type and no problems. Work well. So Jayco fixed them with the new shades that everyone seems to be having trouble with. It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, I'd just plan on replacing them from the get-go.

After looking at the 33 RLDS for 2 years we finally bought one. We got it loaded with every option offered including the ledgestone fireplace. After looking at many other units this one was the one. Love it. Only problem that I can see is we didn't get one sooner.

I do not own this floor plan but we plan on upgrading in a few years and by far this is the floor plan that we love.

We've had our 2012 33RLDS for 2 seasons and so far only a few small problems. The only real draw back with this TT is not much outside storage compared
to other TT we have owned. Very good trailer though.

I'm not sure what TT you had before but I have to disagree to say that the 33RLDS has just as much outside storage access as any other with the storage located in the front of the unit. Now the 330 RLTS Eagle has an additional storage locker located opposite the door side in one of the sides which is nice and would have been a nice addition to the 33 RLDS but compaired to my previous 312 Eagle FKS the RLDS has more storage.
Agreed the 33RLDS is a very good TT.

We love ours for the space it offers. The double opposing slides in the back make it spacious and we love the wardrobe slide and the bathroom close to the bedroom. I didnt like the water pump being on the back wall in the kitchen below the sink. Whenever it ran the whole wall vibrated espescially in the bathroom. I relocated it to the floor and used some rubber stips under it. Much better. I did have some other minor issues most of which I don't remember, but write those off as typical for mass built coach in this price range using labor that takes little pride in their work...Oh and we love our shades so not sure what others are complaining about.

Adk Camper,
We previously owned a 2011 JayFlight G2 25RKS. It had a little bit more front storage capacity. It also had storage under the sofa (exterior access). Also
another exterior storage compartment. 3 total.
Could not be happier with the 33RLDS though.

That's quite a bit of storage for a 25 ft.

I was just wondering why some come with the oven hood and some do not? I would think that would be standard. The ones without have the mic mounted in the cabinet area. Hmmm.

A 29 RLDS we looked at didn't have the range hood. Seemed like a waste of space over the stove plus no vent to the outside. We are glad our 33RLDS does have it..

I agree with the wasted space.

Something else I remember is the video cable from the Radio/DVD player was to short to pivot the TV to the left side without stressing the tv or radio connections. I replaced it with a longer one. Also had brake wires hanging low and the access ports of the manual slide locations of the thermal cover was poor;y screwed leaving gaps for mice to get in..

We actually ended up with a 2007 25RKS being the loan wouldn't go through on the 33RLDS.

Apparently during transit a bottom trim piece almost flew off due to not having any screws in it, it was screwed back down by the transporter it but I wonder now if it is now going to become a leak point. The transporter said the screws passed through butyl tape and therefore shouldn't pose a leak problem but that sounds fishy to me.

Did you guys have any issues of this sort with the 25RKS and do you have any advice on issues to keep an eye on with this particular coach?

Thanks for a the feedback it is greatly appreciated.

The one thing I wish we did have is the hood and fan venting to the outside.

I just bought my first TT and I bought the 33RLDS....loaded. I'm looking forward to camping in it. I will pick it up at the dealer in late April. What things should I look at for my inspection that may need to be addressed?

The floor plan with the fireplace sold me!
