330rsts first trip surprise

We left for our first long (5 week) outing in our new 2018 Eagle 330rsts. On arrival after the first day out, we opened the door to see that the wooden frame holding the island pendant lights had crashed down on the island and both pendant lights had shattered into a million pieces. Good Grief. We discovered that the wooden blocks inside the panel that anchored the entire fixture were split. The screws used to attach the panel and lights were improperly attached and split the blocks. What a mess. And disappointment. We decided to fix it ourselves vs. spending countless hours first finding and then receiving service. So just a little warning to all owners of 2018 330rsts trailers.

Nice repair, hope you took pics to send to JAYCO. I am surprised though that it didn't happen as the unit was being delivered.

We drove it from Ohio, where we bought it inJune to Texas, where we live, and did notice that the board was a little loose. We just didn't imagine it would crash like it did and then frankly forgot about it. Live and learn and check everything!

Yes, that was good news, indeed. The quality of the island countertop is excellent.

Very nice repair and great attitude about an obvious defect in workmanship. Glad to hear it didn't spoil your trip!
