I have pulled mine to the Texas coast several times, 250 miles each way, other campgrounds close by, just returned from a trip to Boone NC and stops on the way back. 2600 miles. Actually left on a Sunday morning at 6am and arrived home that night at 12:15 AM. 1200 miles. Just decided needed to get home to address some business issues. Headed to Alaska for about 6 weeks and around 10,000 miles May 31. I did upgrade my tires and wheels to 16 inch with 3500 pound capacity for that extra margin of 5000 pounds. Means I can pull faster and and have lots less tire problems.

Mine pulls great. Using a 12000 lb Equal-i-zer. Tongue weight is on the high side at 1650lbs fully loaded to travel.

I only use a 10,000 pound equalizer and only drop two links. I don't know my tongue weight and only use the equalizer to level a little bit. I can unhook with out raising front of trailer. Transferring a small amount to front helps with ride..which is great. No bounce etc.

Its the best towing trailer I have ever owned. 12K Equalizer and Timbrens on the truck. I do suggest upgrading the tires. I went with Maxxis E rated and stayed with the 15 inch.

I heard from my wifes parents that the roads up there a few years ago were murder on tires and paint.... some kind of shale I don't know where your going in Alaska but I would see what you could find out about that .... hate to ssee you go through a bunch of tire and tear the front of your camper up .... good luck

When heading to Alaska take two spares and install a sweep behind the TV tires.
Tire shops are more expensive where towns are far in between. The sweep will protect the TT.

I have large mud flaps...and am putting a piece of heavy rubber , old bed mat cut up, along rear bumber hanging down. I have a heavy duty ranch hand bumber so I can screw right to it.

I re-did my inverter today. I had two blue top batteries but put them back in the boat.
I wanted two new ones for our Alaska trip and am up-grading to 3000 watt inverter....in case I want to use microwave or toaster or elect coffe pot. Added a remote on and off switch.as well. The 1500 was removed.
