40" TV added to 23RLSW

I decided to install my own TV's in my new 23 RLSW. After a long 8 hour day and numerous choice words I finally got the 40" LCD TV installed.

I had to modify the outer frame because the rear of the TV was not the same on both sides. Otherwise the TV would have sat at an angle in relation to the front of the cabinet.

I bought a double swing arm TV mount that locks in place and allows me access when needed.

I had to build the frame in place because it was not possible to slip it in fully built.

Getting it so that it was at the correct depth was the hard part. Had to make sure the TV would sit flush with the front frame and still lock in place.

My stereo is a Furrion DV 3200 that has a HDMI output and a audio input. I connected a HDMI cord to the TV from the stereo for a 1080P quality picture. I also connected a cord with a 3.5mm plug at the TV end and with a R/W RCA connection at the stereo end to the audio in connection.

I can now listen to the TV audio through the ceiling speakers. Not a lot of clearance from the slide, about an inch, but as they say, no harm no foul.

Good one! I think the TV that came with my 23RLSW is a 32", so it doesn't have anywhere near as tight a fit as you were dealing with. Way to go!

I know the 32" fits inside the opening. I wanted a larger TV and there was nothing larger than a 32" that would fit inside.

So I had to go to the 40" and mount it outside the opening.

The senior eyesight is the reason I wanted a larger TV. I also added a strap to secure it going down the road just in case the lock unlatched.

looks nice good job on the install we put the 32 in ours I just mounted the legs to the bottom. Just got back from a 2400 mile trip never moved a bit.

It looks great and I like the double swing arm. When I am unable to fully open the slide at home it would allow to move it to the right. I have a 32" RCA.

Where did you purchase your double swing arm that locks into place for travel? We are having a hard time finding one that locks. Did you go online?

You will need to know the weight of your TV and the VESA bolt pattern, 100x100mm, 200x200mm, etc. Here are a few options. I bought the L&W.

i have that same furrion in my new camper and was irritated that it wasnt hooked up to listen to "tv" through the speakers. so all you did was hooked up an audio cable(the smaller headphone plug style) from the tv to the furrion huh

Yes. 3.5mm plug into TV audio output. The RCA R/W at the other end of the cord to the audio input plugs of the DV3200.

Then switch the DV3200 to AUX IN if I remember correctly. Use the stereo volume for how loud you want the audio.
