6 volt battery swap

I will be wanting to change out my original 12V battery as one of the first mods in preparing for dry camping & solar. I think the TT comes with a G 27 battery. I saw these on the batteries plus site plus a 10% off coupon :

Duracell Ultra High Capacity Battery for Deep Cycle 6V RV
SLIGC115
12 month free replacement warranty
6V high capacity Deep Cycle power
230AH at 20 hour rate
Brand: Duracell Ultra
Voltage: 6
Format: BCI Group GC2
Lead Acid Type: Deep Cycle
$94.99
Buy Online Pickup In Store
Check Store Availability
When compared to the Trojan T105 I jumped at the $$ difference.
What do I need to do to swap these in place on the original battery tray of a Jay feather 25BH T.T.?
Dimensions for each 6V are L 10.25", W 7.125", H 10.875" WT:64 lbs.

Find Space and Rewire Connections

The big picture on what it takes is to find space for a second battery and then you will need to wire the two batteries in series. Find a friend with a larger trailer as they probably already have it done. Also, search youtube and google for more instructions.

Use the old wires, one goes to positive on battery one and to negative on battery two. Then find a big battery cable from your local auto parts store and connect the remaining positive and negative of the two batteries together.

If you are not very comfortable with this, find someone who is. It is not that hard but can fry things if done wrong.

And don't forget to take the extra tongue weight into consideration. Assuming you're going to mount them on the A frame.

Good point on the increase in T. Wght. It will add about 75-80lbs with the xtra cable, tray, tie downs, case. I'm okay with that as my wd hitch is rated between 800-1200 lbs.

Its not hard to fab a new battery tray for the 2-6's. Unless you have a piece of junk for a tow vehicle the extra weight on the tongue is a good thing as it helps prevent sway. I put 6-6's on the tongue (talked to Jayco before I did this) with no problems so far

On a different side of the coin:

I planned on doing the same mod... But when I got to the Batteries & Bulbs store, the salesman talked me into a single 12V Deep Cycle battery. 5 fewer AH, 80% of the weight and about half the bulk of two 6V batteries and 60% of the cost. Swapped the hybrid battery and case in under an hour.
