We love our Jay Flight 28BHBE. We only were able to use it twice before winter set in. As another poster mentioned, the gray water tank is very small and can only hold shower water for one day for our family of 5. We mostly plan ahead and reserve sites with sewer. If we can't do that, we will just have to use the shower houses for showers since we don't have one of those portable emptying tanks to haul to the dump station (forget what they're called). The queen mattress is too soft for our tastes. Other than those 2 things, we absolutely love it and are very happy with the choice. The double bunks are WONDERFUL! And the shower size is great, especially for my 6' 1" DH. The larger refrigerator is also a huge plus.

Enjoy!!

I received an e-mail from the sales representative and gave him a call this morning. He had sent me the order sheet because the factor had shifted from 2014 model year production to 2015 model year production. So, I will have a 2015 Jayflight 28BHBE.

Jayco mixed some of the 2014 options into standard features, bundled some of the 2014 options into 2015 option packages, and made some new options. We went all through the order form and it turns out I'll get a couple of nice extras that I was not intended to get before at the same price we agreed on.

One of the things I wanted was the cargo accessory receiver at the rear bumper. This is standard on the Eagle but was an option on the Jayflight; unfortunately it was a $500 MSRP option with the cargo tray. I did not need the cargo tray nor that cost so I had passed on it earlier. In the 2015 options you can get just the receiver at a much more modest price - we agreed I'd pay another $100 for including that option.

So, I guess the order is going in now. I just need to wait to see what it looks like when it gets here.

Redhorse 823:

Good one - I only asked if the color selection was still valid. I said please answer only yes or no - don't want to open that up again! The salesman said yes, and so we moved on.

I'll bet there are new choices for the DW to anguish over. Better to ask forgiveness than permission sometimes.

"Sorry honey, the new colors are hideous, but they still have the one you picked which is your favorite. Besides, as much as I would like to, they wouldn't let me change that selection on the build sheet."

The salesman told me on Tuesday, 03/18/2014, that the trailer may be arriving here at the end of March or the first week of April.

I have been reading another thread at what to look for when you pick up a new travel trailer. I will try to summarize all that and ask for further input. Could we make that a sticky? I am sure it would help others.

The sticky on how to buy a travel trailer really helped me, and I have been over the sticky on how to weigh at a Cat scale twice now - will be on my to-do list as we get ready to go. Those are really helpful aspects of this forum.

Well, I received a call this afternoon and was told the trailer is now sitting at the dealer lot. Now I need to find time in between my day job (i.e, work) and my night job (i.e., kids) to go and look it over.

I'll pass on how that all goes.

Well,

We spent the afternoon (around five hours) at the dealership looking over our new trailer today. I have some issues, which I'll cover in separate topics. But, to summarize:

Received 2015 Jayflight 28 BHBE
Cost was roughly 70% of MSRP
Worked with Boyer RV in Erie, PA
Overall, good experience with dealership - no pressure sales, the service person showing us the trailer was great.
I would recommend Boyer RV
