YES!!!! I use a funnel, water bucket...AND...a piece of aquarium hose and a bungee cord.

Then again - I only fill it once a year and it's a 12 gal tank...

I have dumped more water in our TT with a five gallon jug than I care to think about. My new FW does not have a gravity fill but can self fill with Country Fill setting. I haven't tried it yet. My back feels better just thinking about it.

I ran out of water dry camping years ago. afterwards I immediately bought a 6gal plastic jerry can. that has come in handy! 5 trips mid camp trip and I have all the water I need.

My dad has about 100ft of collapsible hose and various adapter to get to the campground spigot.

I use a potable water hose that I connect to the water faucet... I also have a little device you connect on the hose and it tells you how much water (in US gal, Imperial gal and liters) has been used...

So I know how much water I am putting in before hitting the road...since I limit the weight by carrying only 2-3 gallons just to cover the road washroom stops

Camped next to someone last year, the guy mounted a 100 gallon tank in the bed of his pickup truck. Ran a hose when needed and let gravity do the work. I think he wins camping.

I've almost purchased one of those many times. If we boon docked more, I would definitely have something like that!

Careful with that in your new trailer, the pickup line for the water pump won't pick up water from the tank with that little water in it. I travel with about 25 gallons in mine for the same purpose.

We always carry a few of the 7 gallon water jugs and then I cheat. I use an electric water pump from home depot and my generator to refill the fresh water. It is designed to pump water out of a flooded basement area, so it will empty a 7 gallon jug in short order.

I often camp with my father in law, he got tired of pouring water into his trailer with Jugs and funnel so he bought a rv water pump, to it he added wire and hoses. Now he fills his trailers with a pump and several 15 Gallon water jugs. Pretty slick for boondocking.

We use an extra water pump (bought from Camping World), use some pvc pipe, and extra clean water hose to pump into the trailer. We usually just use a portable battery with a 12v plug from the pump. Most our camping is dry camping and we started with trying to dump water from a smaller 5 gal tank - came with a funnel like spout. Our friends showed us their setup - which is where we got our idea. They take their horses with them so they need the water. I got tired of them filling our tanks for us so made the same set up ourselves. We haul a 55gal and a 30 gal drum on the bike trailer when we go and stop in the nearest town to our destination to fill them with water so not hauling all the weight the whole time. Makes it nice because we stay our for a couple of weeks at a time.

I have 4 of the 7.5G blue totes. I made my own fill spout with a 3/4" nipple, 10" of clear hose, a hose clamp, and an extra lid.
One can on its side on the table with the can I'm filling from on top of it.
