The on board compressor can be added later if you don't like filling manually. I think the compressor is the way to go if you have extra cash.

I used the road master active suspension. After my rear leaf springs started to squeak like a school bus, I tried greasing them, etc. I finally took them off and my squeak problem stopped. I won't use RMAS again.

AS said before, Im a Timbren kind of guy myself. Once installed, you have nothing to mess with. No keeping up with air pressure, trying to find slow leaks, or worrying about puncturing a bag or damaging a line. A newer truck, you wont notice the Timbrens with no load, its only once load is applied you tell the differance.

I'm a Timbren guy also. Set it and forget is my motto. I've got enough things to do than install something that will add to my work or reduce my pocketbook. I had them on another truck.

I have them with an onboard air compressor on an 07 Sequoia and they help with the weight distribution hitch to leaves out the SUV it was my only option since I do not have leaf springs. Nice to be able to let the air out once we get to the destination the air back up to tow again.

I'm leaning toward the Timbrens. Much easier install and the set it and forget it aspect is very appealing.

I had both and prefer the Timbrens. I did not have the compressor on my old airbags and spent way to much time adjusting pressure from towing to not towing. The on-board compressor is a expensive addition.

Timbrens are great. Yes, they're definately easier to install..no doubt. I asked the same question here a while back and ended up with air bags. Did alot of research and got alot of good feedback from actual air bag owners. I'm not bashing Timbrens, just broadening your scope. But, they DO NOT eliminate squat. Regardless to what you ever heard..squat IS NOT good. Ever hear a truck driver say,"Squat is good"? Ever wonder why semi manufacturers use air ride suspension exclusively? I've yet to see a 54' flatbed trailer hauling block with leaf springs and Timbrens. Air bags are the best option for heavy loads..period. Kenworth knows it. Petebuilt knows it. They all do. The loads we all put on our TV's ARE considered heavy loads for that vehicle. Now, that being said, I know we're not hauling brick to contruction sites. But we are hauling our loved ones and there is no more precious cargo in the world than that. Again, not bashing fellow Timbrens users. Just my opinion.

I use the TLC {Total Load Control} air bags on my truck. I have both manual and on-board air compressor. It will lift the rear end to prevent squat, I like them they have work great.

They work very well together. As do The Timbrens and the WDH.

I ordered the firestone ride right bags with onboard comp. and 3 gal. tank. I think they will be a good failsafe if you have WDH problems. Also, I can disable the WDH and sway control (I have reese dual cam) when doing some local driving with a lot of tight turns without crushing the rear springs. I think someone said when using them together you should set up the WDH first with the bags deflated. Then inflate them just enough if you need a little more rear lift. I'm hoping they will help with the pogo stick action I get on some concrete highways. As others have said. Thats one of the reasons I got the compressor. I can mess with the pressures on the fly while its bouncing to hopefully ease the condition.
