Almost blew up the TT *yikes*
Last night, I went on a cleaning spree. I noticed some spotting around the knob area on the stove, so I passed the rag over the knobs and along the side of them to clean the spotting on the face plating. I was in a hurry as I knew that we were heading off to the clubhouse to play Bingo (mind you neither of us are Bingo players, we just wanted to socialize in our new campground).
Don was checking the internet and I was putting Breezi to bed when I noticed a propane gas smell. Don didn't smell it (yet). We almost blew it off and left the tt, but then I said again that I smelled something. We weren't sure that maybe something was in the air, then he saw that the knobs (all four) were set to "lite". Apparently, I had pushed in each knob and pulled on them enough while trying to clean the face plate, that I activated the knobs to allow propane gas to flow. Don reset each knob. Breezi, Don, and I left the tt just in case while air flowed through the now opened windows. It is scary to think that we were so close to leaving Breezi alone while propane was flowing through our trailer with hot water heater flowing etc. What a horror to think that our trailer could blow and Breezi be gone with it!
Soooo, I have learned that when cleaning the area around the knobs on the stove, I will be careful not to bump over on the knobs to turn them enough to activate the "lite" mode.
BTW... we now know that we both suck at Bingo!
