You have a solid point AlJOas far as price The whole you could build one for less is almost always true a person could build almost any wd hitch out there if you had the time and quality control to make sure all was within specs. But as far a price I checked 2 places and could have got it between 300 and 350. But instead after I got the deal done for the price of the trailer said I wouldn't do the deal without the hitch for free figured I could try it if I hated it I could buy something different. But so far I'm liking it I will have a better idea after this weekend I'm doing a 400 mile trip and that should give me a better idea
