Another AC question

I see many people asking for help with additional cooling from their AC units. My question is this, if the area you are trying to cool better, has an AC duct, and a vent with out a fan, will adding a fan into the vent help? It seems to me that before starting the AC, if you have a fan in the vent, you start the fan on exhaust, thus getting rid of all the hot air near the ceiling. Then after it has cooled the room some, you turn the fan so it blows down into the room (with the vent cover closed) thus pushing the air from the duct down and spreading it around. I know it isn't as good as a second AC unit, but it seems like it might work.

I think using an exhaust fan to suck out the built up hot air in a trailer helps some, but not a lot, with the cool-down time of an AC.

The heat inside a hot trailer comes not just from the air, but from all the contents of the trailer that have collected heat - the furnishings, walls, floor, everything. So when your AC starts cooling, it must remove that heat and deal with the outside heat that is trying to come into your trailer. So it takes a while.

We have found exhaust fans to be very helpful when boon docking in warm weather and air conditioning is not available.

When we get somewhere in hot weather I start up the exhaust fans and when the AC starts cooling off a bit turn off the fans and close the vents. I dont know if it helps or not. Sence we only have one AC we use a portable fan in the bedroom and it keeps it comfortable while sleeping

oh yes we also have a system we use to help keep it cooler in the bunkhouse.Close the ceiling AC unit off so it is only using the ducts, almost totally close the bathroom AC vent, face the one in the hallway outside the bunkhouse towards the bunkhouse, a vent pillow that reflects the sun, and a small fan running both in the bunkhouse and the living area. It works, but I was trying to think of a better way.
