Another unhappy Jayco owner

I purchased a new Jayco jayfeather in 2008. Almost immediately the rear plastic bumper cracked and the finish came off. I contacted Jayco and they replaced the bumper through their dealer. Within 6 months the bumper did the same thing. The cracking would start at the mounting holes and travel down the bumper. It became so bad it was unsafe to pull down the road as it could fall off in front of traffic. I have since bought two new bumpers as replacements at about $500.00 each. Jayco refuses to acknowledge the poor engineering of their product. Building a replacement out of metal is not an option because of the shape and contour of the bumper. I will not buy another Jayco product.

How many times have we seen a first post, just trashing Jayco...and many times there never is a second post. Makes you wonder the motivation of these posts.

And about a unit that is almost 9 years old. It is also the only complaint on the forum about that model and I know there has to be somebody else who owns one.

TYPICAL TROLL......

Problems with one Jayco does not make them all junk. We're on our 3rd Jayco since '93 and all have been solid trailers.

They fixed yours once under warranty, but you didn't say how long it took for it to happen again. Now you are talking about an 8 year old trailer. It would be helpful if you posted pictures and gave more detail as to what you did to try and get Jayco to pay for further repairs.

Otherwise this is just a rant without a lot of detail for anyone to make a judgement about.
