Any 26BH owners have a PI HW30C EMS?

Bought one for our brand new Jay Flight 26BH but the only access it seems I have to the junction box and the cord is behind the fuse box...under the fridge
Anyone install one? If so, where did you put it?

I have wondered about this same thing. Gonna keep an eye on this post. Let us know what you did if you end up doing it yourself! Love to see some pictures of the process if it isn't too much trouble!

I have the 26bh ultralight launch so I'm not sure if my unit is exactly the same as yours but here goes. Under the sink, there is a half panel on the left, remove this panel, that gives you access to the heater ducting. Near this area, you'll see a wooden box where you external power cable is stored when you shove it into the trailer.

Locate the romex coming out of that box, mine ran right along that left panel (under the sink) and then went through the floor and came up under the frig.

I spliced into the romex line and hid everything behind the half panel. Mounted the remote display right under the cabinet counter top just to the right of the oven.

Awesome! I believe that is probably pretty close to the same as mine but I do not have any heater ducting back there. I'll take a look for that panel. Pretty simple install for someone with little household electrical knowledge? 3 wires on each side I believe?

Thank you JJ. I will be working on mine this weekend so I will try and post some pics. I have a hard time giving advice to a Seahawks fan lol.
but...There are a few good videos on Youtube for installation including a pretty detailed one from PI themselves.

I just installed it last week. There is room behind the fuse box. The fuse box doesn't pull out far but enough to get the job done....also while in there you may want to fill some of the holes.

I mounted the monitor to the back wall of the bath sink cabinet....the led #'s are a bright red and I didn't want it lighting up the camper at night.

Overall pretty simple install, certainly glad I purchased this unit over the pedestal model.

No pictures, but hope that helps.

My previous trailer was a 2013 Jayco 26BH. I also installed it behind the fuse box. I pulled the fuse box out as far as I could and it left me enough room get behind it and install the EMS. I mounted it to the vertical panel directly behind the fuse box. The display I ran and mounted it under the kitchen sink on the removable wall between the two areas.

Just take your time and have patience.

How did you guys get to the space behind under the fridge? I have looked under the oven, and under the bathroom sink but both panels are a seamless one piece of cabinetry for the fridge all the way to the ceiling. Did you just cut that piece out?

Thanks

Installed mine behind the fuse panel too. I think I disconnected half of the wires to swing the panel out of the way then found a piece of ply behind there to mount it to. It was not the greatest place to access but it's out of the way. I ran the remote display to cabinet area under the sink.

Ok so you guys both went thru the panel opening. Was hoping I could find another route, that opening is so damn small! Gonna be a fun weekend lol. May not get to build the shelves for the bedroom wardrobe closets.
Thanks for the response y'all

Before cutting the 30a line give yourself enough line so you can wire the ems outside of the cabinet.

I wouldn't want to do the install inside the cabinets small opening,

The install will be easier than you think.

One more thing...there is a black rubber water line about the same diameter as the 30a line down there.....don't cut that one in error.

That would probably ruin your day.

Is there any access from inside the cabinet next to the fridge?

For mine (25BH) the mouse hole and power cord storage is under the bath tub/shower so I pulled the mattress on the lower bunk and opened up the space under that for mounting my power EMS. I ran the remote display out to the outside kitchen. While I was at it also converted my camper to the twist lock power cord and sealed up the mouse hole. If your power cord is in the space under the fridge then that is where it will have to go.

Thanks for all the insight everyone! I will need to do some digging on our unit once I decide to get one. Jay Dreamer are you saying to pull the power cord out of the fuse panel hole so you can wire it there, then put it back in the hole to mount it?
