I was thinking about putting in a thermostat that has temperatures settings. Currently our thermostat is just a lever that is adjusted higher or lower. Anyone done this and have suggestions or warnings?
If it is the standard Coleman analog thermostat, you can replace it with the Coleman digital version easily. It is a wire for wire swap...just match the colors. You can do it cheaper with other battery operated digital thermostats but if you have a hi/low fan speed and want that option you will need to install a secondary switch to do that function. I'm sure others will chime in to let you know how that is done. I went the easy/costlier route and used the Coleman. Cost was about $70...

This one doesn't have temperature settings on it, it is just moved left or right for lower heat or more. I would like to have temperature settings. The furnace is atwood, not sure what the thermostat is..
