Anybody having problems getting what they special order on camper

Well to start we ordered a new 338 rets at the camper show in Feb. .We talked with the dealer and told them how we wanted it and they wrote everything down and ordered it. !st week in April it comes in and they had installed a booth dinette instead of table and chairs, faucet in kitchen was wrong, couch and chairs were wrong, so they stocked the unit and ordered another the way we wanted it. May 3rd it comes in and this time table and chairs are right, flooring is right, recliners and couch are wrong again but now different color, kitchen faucet still wrong and this time they get the bed wrong... we wanted queen and its king. When you special order something aren't they supposed to look at what it is you order and build it that way?

When we ordered, we sat at the dealer and completed the Jayco order docs together. We both kept a copies and reviewed it again upon delivery.

oh and to add to it

now today I go to dealer and had decided we would live with couch and recliners in cloth but I don't know about the king bed it cuts down 12 inches in bedroom which makes moving to bathroom and getting into the left side of closet in front cramped but we are going camping Friday and I don't want to go through another wait just to get another unit wrong. I cant blame the dealer as he has tried to make it right and stocked the first unit that was wrong but who do you blame? I know for a fact they ordered it right and Jayco built it wrong

We had a problem getting a cargo rack. The dealer told us it wasn't available on our model. They screwed up the order and then lied to make the sale.

Sorry to hear about that fail. We ordered ours in November for late April delivery, thus avoiding a price increase. The dealership submitted the order in March, I believe, and everything was as ordered except there were two easy chairs. We had deleted the chairs as we wanted to use our own. But there was no increase in the price. We've spent a total of 502 nights in it to date. Here we are three years later, happy campers.

Well we took delivery yesterday and I am happy. I already see a few things I am going to have to do with it but after the time and trials I am fine with fixing a few things myself. I am just excited to go camping this weekend and hope maiden voyage is great. The dealer was great about trying to make us happy with the things that were messed up on order but in the end we still had to concede to take it with a couple of things different. We will live with king bed instead of queen and material couches instead of leatherette, I got to thinking it might be sweaty in the summer after we got off the boat anyway lol. fyi I would plan a full afternoon for walkthrough and hookup and paperwork it took us 5 hours and I didn't ask that many questions. I will try to get some pics this weekend and share them when we get back .... happy camping
