Anyone Camp during Thanksgiving?

This will be my first year fixing dinner at Thanksgiving at a campsite. Any help would be appreciated.

We do for Canadian thanksgiving which is a month earlier than yours. It is a large group of us that meet up and ours friends Mom is the organizer. She cooks the Turkey in an electric roasting pan outside and has each person bring a dish to go with the meal. The electric roasting pan is the key for a large group as turkey won't fit in an RV oven. If you are just one family look into a stuffed turkey breast.

If you want to keep things simple, just get a bunch of turkey cold cuts and make sandwiches.

For the past two Thanksgivings I have put my turkey in a smoker. They've been big fellas, like 22 lbs each. It stinks because you don't get the cooking smell in the house, but then again you don't get the heat from the oven being on for hours. It also frees up the oven to cook/warm side dishes. Turkey comes out nice and juicy and tasty!

I have camped for the last six or so Thanksgivings. I do dinner at home, then escape to the campground. Some years I camp with friends that deep fry their turkey at the campground. The rest of the fixings you make like you are at home.
