I didn't order my 2011 camper with the grill option but it does have the hookup. I bought a small holland grill a couple years ago and I love it. It cooks great steaks, burgers, you name it. You can even cook biscuits on it. It uses the small throw away bottles of butane. If your looking for a good grill you might want to consider this one.:hihi:

We have one and use it to make toast mostly. Keep it turned down low, siding stays cool to the touch.

We have the grill option on our 2008 27BH and use it almost every time we are out. Located on curb side. We like it because some foods are better cooked outside, less residual odor in the TT.

I also use a grill mounted to the side of the RV that vents out the sides to take the heat away from the sides of the trailer. I do touch the sides of the trailer to monitor the heat and the sides have never felt hot. I would not recommend using a rear venting grill mounted to the side. Here is the grill I use except I do not use the green bottles; this grill comes with a quick connect hose.

Called the dealer about having no hose and he said he would get in touch with Jayco and have one sent out to me. :hihi:

Stargazer--We just got the RVQ II grill, used it in camp driveway for a test, great results. I will say that the directions say nothing about not using the supplied regulator when connecting to the TT, which has one. just an FYI. Larry

I like my gill option on my Jayco because it has the top rack but I do find I cannot get really high temperatures.

Funny I hate that top rack and have been thinking of cutting it off. It get in the way and is so close to the lid when closed that hardly anything can sit up there.

We have the grill and never use it. cleanup is a nightmare, and it gets too hot. It doesnot get too hot for the side of the camper, its safe. Stargazer look all over the trailer, under the bed, in cabinets, closet shelves, its in there somewhere I bet.

Has anybody made a shelf that uses the rail attached to the side wall? Be nice to have for serving from instead of another table. Thinking of very lightweight with rubber-footed braces, similar to the bracket for the RVQ. Just need ideas for what to use to mate up with the installed rail...

I have the grill and likely will never use it on the side of the rig. I am going to use it with the table top mount if at all. Sure is heavy.

All Grills

I have just set up my normal home grill to my TT, I went and talked to our propane guy(we live in the sticks and have propane for the house) and he informed me that any grill will work on your quick disconnect fitting as long as you pull the regulator off of your grill, both the TT and most grills run on low pressure propane and are not regulated any different. The regulators are color coded to let you know if they are the same. TT are Black/silver which is the same as most grills, you just can not hook up RED or Blue those are bad. That should open up your grill shopping a little.

cdwing--- I know you can buy a table w/ an adjustable leg and leg bracket from a popup and use it on the grill mt. I know the table will work, but I'm just thinking out loud about the leg bracket. Even if there isn't a bracket available you can make one up

Found what I was looking for.. internet search for Patrick RV table support finds a two piece channel. Only need one side since the trailer already has a rail mounted, but this would let me build a table. Found a couple of ideas in my search, too.

Our 330 RLTS has the grill option also. It did not have a hose either. Went back to dealer and he gave me one. From the sound of this thread Jayco must not supply those hoses with the unit.

My rig had the hose. It was in a separate package than the grill. Still have not used it but aim to try. It looks like it will be hard to clean and store but if it does not work out, I can use it at home.

We use ours all the time. Had one on my 25RKS used it all the time as well. Pork tenderloin is my speciality.

We have had two TT both with outside grills and love them. Our new TT came with a bigger grill than before so now we can eat more, LOL
