Anyone having leak in shower?
My wife showered right after I did the other night and she then noticed some water on the floor right in front of the access panel to what I assume is the shower's plumbing. She guessed it at half a cup. Anybody have any similar experience or have a suggestion as to what I might do myself, as it's well over a hundred miles each way to a Jayco dealer.

Its likely in the drain or you would be getting water all the time. Remove the panel and run the shower. Use a flashlight and check for a drip. Likely a loose trap.

Might also be the seal from the drain. If you don't find it, have wife stand in shower with water running. If the seal between the drain and tub is bad, deflection caused by someone's weight nearby might open it up and cause leakage.
Good hunting.

Check the seal around the bottom of the shower stall where it mates to the shower floor pan. Mine leaked while showing, and ran under the track and side glass panel. Laid a bead of bathtub caulk around the bottom of the enclosure, and it fixed it.

I noticed if my TT was level water would run down the wall of the shower and pool on the top of the tub and then spill out onto my floor. I glued a thin piece of vinly stripping on the top of the tub and now it diverts the water back into the tub and not onto the floor.

I noticed this on mine also, now I setup with the nose a little low and the water runs to the enclosed side of the tub instead.
Good luck and Happy camping!

I calked but haven't used it yet. Will find out if the caulk plus your idea works tomorrow or the next night. Thanks.

Showered last night. Don't know what worked, but no sign of water where it didn't belong, unlike the fifth of Tequila that broke in the pantry yesterday. I'd note the nose was a tad low, 3/4 bubble off level.

Jeez, my rear is hanging a bit on the low side, too, but luckily I haven't experienced any leakage yet. Maybe in a couple of years. :jester:

I had water on the floor after using the shower in my GreyHawk... pulled the access panel off and the trap was loose.... tightened and fixed!

It would just make the grey water a little less grey!

So for your information, 30% of folks do so in the shower, per Playboy, X decades ago when I read that mag. Don't remember if that was limited to guys, or if the girls were asked as well. Of course, as it saves a flush, I'm quite sure Mr. Gore would approve. Ergo, a whiz can now be Politically Correct.

I have a 2010 JayFlight 29RLS G2 with a fully enclosed shower. Shower is in the corner with the 3-sided glass enclosure. It has been caulked where the glass meets the shower bottom with an almond colored caulk. I have a leak between the glass and shower tray as the caulk does not seem to adhere to the shower tray very well. I've read some posts that suggest it shouldn't be caulked because the caulk will loosen eventually due to travel. I don't see any other option but to caulk in my case since this tray does not have a lip to keep the water from running over the edge.

One thing I found out the hard way. If you do leak in the shower never, under any circumstances, tell the wife! They just don't appreciate the simplicity like we do.

4 days after purchasing(and just before leaving for home) my 32TSBH, I happened to open the access panel to the shower plumbing. The first thing I noticed was the bottom back of the access panel was wet. Upon inspection I found a piece of the linoleum sitting under the drain on top of the insulation! It was damp around the insulation. Brand new TT, BTW! It was like someone knew it was going to leak. I ran the shower and found that it was leaking at a connection of the shower drain pipe and another pipe. Not much just a few drops. I simply tightened it. Started the shower again and did not notice a leak there any longer, BUT water was leaking from above that. Since the dealer from whom I purchased it from was just across the street, I went over. He sent some one right over. He did two things. He said that Jayco had left the washer out of where the shower head connects to the hose, and that Jayco had not caulked well around the actual faucet. He put a washer in, and caulked with silicone around the faucet. He said I had to wait for the silicone to dry before using the shower. I was ready to head home so I never did get to check it. Heading back down this Thursday, so I plan on checking it out then..I still can not believe that Jayco placed that piece of linoleum just below the leak! If they knew, why not just fix the problem!
