Anyone towing with a Sequoia?

Want to know if anyone is towing with a Toyota Sequoia and what they're towing?

We have 2002 Sequoia and we towed a 2002 Viking 2575 GP the largest PUP that they made back then weighed in at 3700 lbs loaded. We traveled over 65000 miles with it in tow. Coast to coast and through Canada. It's tow rating is for 6200lbs.

I am not sure how well it tows with a higher profile TT. You will see it on the gas mileage. It is a very comfortable vehicle. Today it has 112,000 mile on it and it is still running strong.

I tow a 26BH with a Nissan Armada which I believe is a similar vehicle to the sequoia. Love towing with a full size suv. IMO with three kids and the wife it is much more comfortable than a crew cab truck and just as capable as a 1/2 ton.

A 5.7 litre double cab Tundra is rated to pull about 3000 lbs more than the Sequoia. Has the same front half, so has about the same comfort level.

Big question to ask yourself is: after you load all your people and stuff in it, what will be the remaining payload? Load it up with everything and everybody you will take camping, including a full tank of gas, and take it to a CAT scale. Then you can make a more informed decision on how much trailer you can tow.
