anything in this world easy?

It seems nothing in this world is easy and I'm learning that also pertains to the purchase of items for our new TT. Ayiyiyi all I'm wanting to buy is a tv and lighting for the outside. I think I'll stop researching and reading all the different website reviews and use one of the best pieces of advice I found while researching which TT would be the best. "Find what you like, make sure it'll work for you and buy it". After months of researching TT's I took that advice and so far that has turned out great. Maybe I can go 3 for 3.

Yep! Best advise ever. Sometimes overthinking something causes way to much stress and confusion.

If we bought every "must have" item that everyone raves about we could not travel for lack of a way to take it all with us!

This ^^. Start with what you know you have to have, then add other stuff as you find the need or desire, and depending on your setup, keep an eye on weights as you do. We have it pretty easy, as we don't haul bicycles or firewood or gas firepit or any of that. We have a fairly light TT, and we load it lightly, so even with an F-150 TV we never have any worries about weight.

I started a list of everything we have with weight, adding 5lbs to everything for a buffer. Once I know I've reached the "wanted stuff" wants or needs I'll calculate to see how close I am in weight then it's off to a DOT scale house to confirm. From that I'll either ditch stuff if needed or confirm my need to stop, put down the lap top and step away. TT rated for 1,334 lbs of cargo so my goal is to max out at about 8-900 lbs.

George Carlin has a funny bit on the need for people to continuously acquire more 'stuff'.

We use a modular system for packing.. everything has to fit in one of the 4 big totes that we keep in our pass-through. We have a couple of small ones for items I'm always losing but always need during setup. When we run out of space, the 'stuff' stays behind. Excluding Beer, Food, and Clothes of course (listed in order of priority).

I think his best line from that is the question:
"Do you wonder why all the 'stuff' you have is 'good stuff' while all the 'stuff' your neighbor has is JUNK?"

You cannot have too much stuff. There's no substitute for good mental health. I buy most of the stuff I see on TV for $19.99. Why? Just look at the sad face of the woman BEFORE she buys that skin cream. Now look at her AFTER. She's not just smiling, she's beaming! And the sad lady who buys the cigarette sized electric heater that's no bigger than her wall outlet. She's so happy, she's caressing the thing! Whoever said money can't buy happiness must not have watched late night television.

Now that's some good stuff right there. Your right with that cream there all happy!! And as far as the food, well, crawfish don't weigh much but that beer might add a lb or 2. But that's solved, the 95 qt Pelican goes in the truck. An I'll share something for those of you nor already aware. Check out the Cooler Shock bag on Amazon. I went thru all of hunt season without buyin one bag of ice. Only problem was it took trial an error to keep the bags from freezing my beer, food and pickle jar solid. There cheap, refreezable an cold as heck. Load a cooler on Wed night an on Sunday stuff is still cold
