I can fit an ATV in the back of my truck, but unfortunately that destroys my cargo capacity and I couldn't take the camper too.
Confirm if towing 2 trailers is legal where you are for sure... In most states it isn't. I think it's ok in parts of canada FWIW. Assuming you aren't talking about a motor home.. if you were, I see ATV's being towed all the time.

Colorado last time I checked was total length, 70 foot max however you got there. It took a trooper 5 or 10 minutes radio time to come up with that answer when I asked him a couple years ago.

Sounds right to me. Also looks like almost every state west of the mississippi allows it to some degree. As you go further east it gets a lot more spotty on if it's allowed or not.

Legal in at least 28 states.

I was really tempted to ask if the 'legal in 28 states' was regarding towing or toking, but I decided not to.

Legal at some level in *exactly and only 28 states if we're going to be precise.
Would it make you feel better if I said illegal in *many* states and restricted in *most*? It's really simple to plan a road trip through several of those 28 states - and still end up being illegal in several of them depending on what you are towing, what is towing it, weights, lengths and other restrictions within those 'legal' states that vary across the country. In a couple of those cases, you need a permit or endorsement on your license most won't assume they need just going off that 'list' of legal states.
What is legal to tow here, isn't legal to tow in CA, even through both are on that list of 28 states. A person just needs to be careful and do more digging since it's pretty easy to become 'illegal' in an otherwise legal state for 'triple towing' Probably hijacked this one enough I just wanted to point out the legal aspects Grumpy, but appreciate the discussion on semantics.

We tandem towed a 15' fishing boat behind our previous travel trailer for 4 years without incident. Before I did it , I spoke with the Indiana State Police and they basically said "as long as you're not doing anything stupid, you'll be fine". On our many trips to Florida, we'll see a lot of people tandem towing, especially golf carts on utility trailers.

I'm reminded of some height limitations I ran across some years ago. While not recalling the exact numbers, if memory serves at all, and if the info was not a misprint, virtually all fivers are illegal in Nevada!

I fully admit I have no idea lol.
I know for most of us the list of states we can operate triples is a lot less than 28. I can barely handle my TV and camper so I'm definitely not an expert in this area (or many others apparently)
If I was triple towing, I'd do more 'due diligence' than ... err ok let's just say as much due diligence as I do when crossing state lines with a firearm... and after using the word firearm, I've effectively killed this thread

In CA I have "triple towed" with a buddy in his Truck/Fifth Wheel/Trailer or boat combo. It cannot exceed 65 feet and you need a special license (Class C non commercial). Triple Towing is not allowed in Oregon so it inhibits the fun to not be able to go there with his setup.

Thats the way it is in Michigan. And there is a max length of 75'. And to be "legal", you need a R or T endorsement on your license. There are also a bunch of little restrictions like weight, how the hitches are connected, how the trailers track etc.
And good luck trying to back one up!
