Awning lights

I recently purchased a 2015 Jayco 32BHDS travel trailer. I was wondering if it is possible to dim the built in LED awning lights. I feel like I'm lighting up the entire campground when I turn them on.

I have the same camper and yes, they are bright. I have not had any complaints from other campers....yet. I would image the stock switch can be switched out with a small dimmer switch that can fit in the same location.

If you don't mind doing a small amount of wiring, here is one solution.
I believe this is what I will be doing, this should be about the easiest way.

I think they must have changed something, our 2014 eagle has them, and they are not all that bright.

I did the 3 dollar mod to add a dimmer to my awning, here's a thread with a couple of options.

It's post #13. I'm working on the exact same mod and will complete it next time I have the trailer out of storage. The dimmer module with remote is less than $3 on Amazon: Robot Check

All you need to add are the splices and the heat shrink and a little bit of caulk (or something) to waterproof the ends of the module.

Until adding a dimmer, I will continue to use the free technique. I turn the lights on but roll in the awning. It blocks the sun-like glow of the LEDs while still illuminating the campsite fairly well.

We have a 2014 Eagle 5th wheel and the awning led's are not bright at all. In fact, makes it rather cozy outside.
