Has anyone had any dealing with Awning pro and their awning covers? Looks interesting!

I bought one of these this past summer. Knowing how the Arizona sun can destroy pretty much everything I thought was cheap insurance for the awning. Since they're in town I just went to their place to pick it up so can't comment on shipping/delivery. So far, so good.

A few of us made our own covers using plastic rain gutters.

We bought the Pro Tec covers this past summer for 2013 X213, that has a 15' power awning. Strongly recommend if you want to reduce the impact sun has on a awning. We put the covers on when we take the unit to storage and remove when we are preparing for a trip. We live 8 miles from our storage location, and have never experienced a cover coming off driving to storage at 60 mph. They go on easy and pop off easy when you remove them, although the covers are very tight when installed. You only need to buy 1 package of clips (has two clips). On the other hand, if you are a person who looses things easy you may want to buy 2 packages (I have a friend who lost two clips within several mths after purchase (he happens to be the type who is always loosing something every time we camp). Good luck, Jim

Tracy, That looks like something I'll probably do. What do have the cover secured with? ... looks like bungee cords, but can't tell for sure
Do you travel with the cover as pictured?

I bought the covers this summer and put them on when in storage and remove before heading out. I store the TT only 2-ish miles from home so I install/remove at the house since I need a ladder. So far they've done a nice job of staying put. I got them to protect the outer layer of awning protected while the TT is idle and they're doing their job plus there's less grime on the upper 12" of the awning.
Make your own? I'm lazy so I bought 'em.

I just did this mod a few months ago. I would NOT tow with it a attached. Yes I used small bungy cords to attach the gutter to the awning. I trimmed both ends of the gutter to fit around the awning brackets. I lucked out and the gutter sort of "lock" on to the edge of the roof.

Purchased a set from Awning pro and made a round trip from TN to Utah and return. No problem what so ever. Mostly traveled 65MPH. Great people to deal with.

The clips must be new since I bought my cover. Seems like a good idea for traveling with the cover installed. I don't remember seeing them or being offered them. Not a problem for me since I only have the cover on at home when it's stored.
