Back from first vacation with the TT
Kamloops, BC to Newport, OR 9 days, 2300 KM (1430 miles)
Stayed at Millersylvania State Park in Washington on the way down and Seaquest on the way back and spent 4 nights at South Beach SP when we were in Newport.
The TT worked great with no issues, only concern I have is I noticed the grey water tank has metal straps that I assume are supposed to be part of the mounting/securing system are not tight enough to contact the tank at all, and the bottom of the tank is not flat but sagged a bit. Anyone else had issues with this?
Pulling was easy even though I feel the Journey is a bit under-powered to be a real TV but as long as I wasn't in a hurry and stayed on roads that didn't have major hills it was do-able. The TT was solid and not noticeable until speeds reached the 110km / 70 mph zone then I found it liked to grab ruts and try to sway a bit. The TV also didn't like maintaining that speed so it all worked out!
The eBay China special LEDs I bought all functioned without any problems other than the 3M tape (which I still think is a knock-off) did not hold any of the lights once they warmed up a bit but that's fine as the covers keep them from going anywhere.
Other than it being colder than anticipated on the coast and having to use the furnace a couple nights it was an awesome trip and looking forward to our next camping weekend already!
