Bal V Chocks with White Hawk 28DSBH
Does anyone use the bal X chocks with this trailer? I bought these ;( http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...k-2-pack/49876) last year for my 23J. They worked great, but I've now traded in the 23J for the white Hawk and do not think these are going to work. I think I now need the x-tended ones. Can anyone tell me the space between the wheels on the white hawk? And if I can't use these, Is anyone interested in purchasing the ones I have? Make an offer, I'm in Mass. I bought them mid-season so they have only been used 3 or 4 times.

The extended X chocks won't work either. I have a White Hawk 27DSRL. I measured the "tread to tread" distance between the axles and it's greater than any manufactured scissor chock would effectively span, but the distance figure escapes me at the moment (CRS Syndrome). I have seen some nice homemade chocks made for wide set axle trailers on RV.NET, but I just went with 4 of the Valterra plastic wedge chocks and they do fine.
If you plan to do any suspension enhancement, such as adding the Dexter EZ-FLEX, you will be similarly disappointed. I asked our selling dealer about adding it to our rig prior to delivery, they couldn't find a compatible kit in Dexter's catalog. A call to Dexter's engineering department revealed Dexter doesn't have an EZ-FLEX product that will work with wide set axles........and Dexter makes the running gear the White Hawk rides on (BTW, the center to center measurement on the axles is 42").

For some reason 14" is in my head but I'm not certain on that #. I found these which say they extend up to 17". I thought they would work.

I read that it was 14 1/2" as well. I went outside and measured it center from tread to tread and I have 15 5/8th inches on my 28.( I love having my trailer parked at work ) I did read on another thread that someone had bought the longer x tend chocks and worked fine. I asked for the model number but I have not heard back yet. Does anyone know the model number for the extended x chocks ?
Cheers

Hi Crewmaniacs,
I think one of the links mentioned above gives the product # as 28014

x-tended chocks work great
I have a 28dsbh, and use the x-tended chocks - they work great, and have plenty of length to handle to wheel spacing.

I picked up my 28DSBH yesterday, and with the advice from this forum, went ahead and bought the extended x chocks and put them on when I got home. They worked great.

By the way, I had to turn them upside down due to the fender skirt, but they still worked fine.
