Balancing a JayFeather?

I am working with Dave at Camco to try and balance my newly purchased 2006 JayFeather with the EAZ Lift WD hitch. However, I'm having problems. It seems to me that the frame on the JayFeather goes upward on each end rather than being straight like every other trailer I've owned. With trailer level, the tongue is still a an upward angle and if I get the tongue level, it's extremely low to the ground in the front and the rear raises up.

Anybody have an experience with this?

Never heard of that befor on all of the trailers I have owned if the trailer was level then the tonge was level and if I put level on rear of trailer its level to I would look at another JayFeather and see if it looks the same I would check and see if frame is bent. Maybe somebody with the same trailer will post what his is like.

X2. Have never heard of hitch and rear end both higher than the middle at same time. If the frame is bent, would think that doors and compartment lids would not fit right, and would bind. But this just doesn't sound normal at all, for whatever reason. JMHO

My frame is straight on top, but tapered on the lower side so that the ends are higher than over the axle. My guess is that this is what you are seeing. Suggest that you level the floor of the TT using a long carpenters level. While you have it leveled, Install a small one on the outside near the front. Set the WDH up to be level by that.

The frame of the Jayfeather is tapered. I don't understand the difficulty in levelling though. Place a level on the top of the A-frame. Or on the interior floor to double check....
